Stephanie Russell, BS, CPMSM, CPCS, Consultant with Greeley, A Chartis Company brings over 35 years experience as an executive medical services professional. Her extensive experience includes leadership of medical staff services in hospital settings, with responsibilities that included credentialing and privileging, medical staff governance, medical education, regulatory compliance with DNV, TJC and NCQA, delegated credentialing and leadership orientation at all levels.

Prior to Greeley, Stephanie worked at health systems in Illinois and Colorado. She was instrumental in streamlining credentialing processes across facilities, including provider enrollment and medical staff departments. Focusing on Process Improvement, Stephanie led collaboration amongst three health systems in northern Illinois to align medical staff privileging and policies to improve collegiality and consistency in the region. Creating a regional cohort of MSP professionals, also lead to improved relations across health systems, large groups & medical clinics. She successfully lead many Joint Commission & DNV surveys & created NCQA compliant credentialing delegation processes.

Stephanie is a past NAMSS Instructor and served on the NAMSS Board of Directors. She was on the Illinois Association Medical Staff Services Board of Directors for over ten years.. Stephanie has almost 20 year's experience in providing education in healthcare, speaking at many state and national conferences on topics that include professional development, credentialing and many topics related to medical staff services. She is the co-author of several versions of “Verify and Comply, Credentialing, Medical Staff and Ambulatory Care Standards”.

Stephanie is passionate about this industry and loves helping individuals be the best they can be. She frequently tells her audiences "if you don’t love what you do, find something else to do – life is to short to work in a profession you don’t enjoy".
