Is it Really an Elephant? Linking Peer Review Data to OPPE, Reappointments & Contract Renewals

Session Description: Many organizations see the OPPE and Reappointment process through the lens of solely credentialing and privileging; however, when looking at the overall performance of a practitioner, a department chair must have comprehensive data to make informed decisions related to many aspects that go beyond just credentialing and privileging. In this session we will discuss how linking all performance and peer review data together can assist Chairs not just in making the decision to continue to grant privileges at OPPE and Reappointment, but also how data can be used for decision making related to promotions, renewal of contracts, taken into consideration during their employment evaluation, etc. This session will cover integration of patient satisfaction data, patient complaints/grievances, peer review investigations, awards, and more into your OPPE and Reappointment processes to help inform decisions that are made in all stages of performance evaluation.
