Session Description: This session aims to introduce and openly discuss the challenges surrounding Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE). Since The Joint Commission launched OPPE in 2008, facilities have struggled to establish an effective process for evaluating provider performance. Medical Services Professionals will collaborate to create a process that not only meets TJC requirements but also enhances the ability of facilities to accurately measure provider performance, leading to better patient outcomes. This roundtable discussion will address common obstacles and offer valuable insights. Participants are encouraged to bring their concerns, questions, and success stories to contribute to the collective learning. Attendees will also leave with a practical plan of action to present to Medical Staff leadership, aimed at driving quality improvement..
